Theatre Network Victoria
Theatre Network Victoria is a major project funded by Arts Victoria, with the goal of developing and strengthening the small to medium performing arts sector in Victoria.
Theatre Network Victoria undertakes research, delivers professional development and develops the sector broadly to build capacity and sustainability. The project is targeted at the theatre companies, small informal groups of theatre workers and individual theatre makers who deliver the bulk of the theatre activity in Victoria and beyond. The goal is to strengthen the sector, enabling it to produce more work, reach new audiences and build existing audiences.
Theatre Network Victoria embraces and engages with the funded and unfunded theatre sector to develop sustainable partnerships and build on strengths. It aims to:
- Support, increase the profile of, and contribute to a strong, engaged Victorian theatre sector.
- Provide an influential, respected, political voice for the sector.
- Gain and share evidence and understanding of sector issues nation wide.
- Connect people to services and training programs which are focused on sector development, professional development and theatre artform development.
- Capably manage TNV as a discrete project while investigating and planning for a clear and ongoing future.
